EQL Season 3 registration open

With a slight delay the registration for the third season of this lovely league has now opened. The procedure is just like previous seasons, just go to the sign up page and fill in the form. After that you're supposed to login and add the players that forms your team. When you've done that the next step is to discuss what maps your clan would like to vote for this season. This time we only got two options to vote for - it's either TB3 only or TB3 + CMT3 & CMT4.

As you may know the remaining games in EQL2 are to be played this week. All games that haven't been played when this week is over will be removed. This is because the registration for EQL3 will be open one week and closes this upcoming sunday (March 19). After that (on Monday) the new season will kick off immediately and it's all rock'n'roll from there on!

We havent placed all clans in div's yet because some are playing playoffs at the moment and some are new and we dont know what div to put them in right now.

but LA, tVS AQ and DT are missing from div1 so if they dont signup we might see some div2'er getting some wildcards ;) maybe osams? ;)

just do tb3 only in all divs and then we dont have to deal with the bullshit. other maps is just lame, some ppl know them well, some dont. tb3 is known by everone which makes everything more fair..

CMT3+Schloss would be nice.

Some of the other CMT maps (not 4) were quite nice during the CMT-tournament too.

new maps allow some tactics against teams who have players that cant/wont/are too lazy to learn new maps. its cool to have some space for tactical decisions like that. its cool to make tactics for a new map. its part of the fun of playing qw, IMHO.

new maps are especially good opportunity for newer players, cause they will do better in a map that hasnt been pracced for years by everybody else.

i hope at least lower divisions will have chance to play more than tb3 forever.
it will give them something to use in ladder games vs better teams, too.

new maps just give new clans and newplayers a false sense of security and joy

even when they do win vs a better clan on a new map it is still laughable since noone cares about it except themselves

it also makes them prac that particular map even more and thus denying them a chance to get better on the tb3 maps ultimately making them a lesser opponent when playoffs or qualififaction games begin since tb3 are the deciding factor in these games

this will offcourse make them lose the most important games of the season and they will not improve, just making them a "one-map-clan"

well its not like they get any worse on the other maps.. if you have played dm3 like 273 times you wont get that much better on your 274th try.

but its better to play tb3 maps 274 times instead of playing cmts 274 times if u wanna improve and win important games
