As pun would say before he began owning people. I am saying this because I am sick and tired of running smackdown. I am sick of all the BS. Tonight I saw unbelievably lame things going on. I like quakeworld, I like playing, but I am truly sick of running the event and dealing with some people that try to ruin a good thing.

First game of the night DG played ST and won 3-0. In the B division finals CG overwhelmed CP3 on the first 2 maps. On e3m7 they won 196 - (-6) and on dm2 they won 140-46. CP3 only had 3, and one player couldn't finish the match and CP3 was forced to forfeit the last game. Claw told everyone from XX to be ready to play ST and then was late for the game. ST had 4, XX had 2 ready and XX lost by default. The final game of the night hasn't ended yet. DG was supposed to play EG and what fun the whole night was. There was a lot of arguing about servers before the game. EG wanted to play on major league kteams or muppety. DG said they absolutely would not play on either server. So I told everyone to get on major league. Tron was there from DG jumping around on e4m8. I was in mirc trying to get people to to goto major when the server mysteriously crashed. I then told people to goto muppety. DG objected and some dg was there along with some alias. It was weird how the map was on e4m8 again. I asked the alias what he was going there and he said he wanted to play 1v1. I think e4m8 is a funny map to play 1v1's on. He then said he wanted to play on dm6. The dg player and he were headed towards the big round teleporter on the map when I said if anyone jumps on top of it I am going to DQ someone. I guess then the alias suggested dm6, the map was switched and he dropped. Both teams got to mupp but the server as of late is so unstable. People argued about servers more. We went to drow where DG had a 40 ping adv over EG. EG then suggested playing on a server I have never heard of. DG was having massive pl there and although the pings were close the pl was horrid. So we went to drow to play. A 4th EG showed up and DG protested that they had agreed to play 3v3 so EG said fine. Dm6 was all fiend. Outpinged on his isdn connection he certainly made up for his ping with superior skill. Scoring 104 frags he led his team to a 270-111 stomping of dg. Skit had 99 and old school legend Monster finished with a respectable 67 frags. Dm3 was chosen by DG but they couldn't control the board at all. Pinion played for Fiend controlling the back of the map, skit and monster would run the quad and they cruised to a 117-57 win. Monster had to leave when CS came to spec. Shafter from DG also showed up. CS was spectating on a hpb connection and not even from his own computer. DG now wanted to play 4v4. Arcane showed up for a brief stint, told me he couldn't get qizmo to work, and despite my best efforts I couldn't help him out. Fiend still wanted to 3v3 because CS was hpb and shafter wasn't. DG now wanted a 4v4 and after lots of fighting EG agreed. 2 members from EG timed during the game. At the very least the game ended in a 117-117 tie. One person from EG timed early and I am not sure if he timed with 0 or more frags. I kept asking if anyone recorded the game so I could quickly check the frags. Unfortunately no one from dg had a demo. After much searching, Pinion found his demo and will send it tomorrow. If EG did lose, the final two maps will be played either Monday or Tuesday. I am also going to get the logs from the smackdown servers. Weird thing is that they also crashed tonight.

Update: after reviewing the demo EG did win by 4 frags, and won the match 3-0. This week the matches are:

1 vs 2, 3 vs 5, 4 vs 6
1 vs 6, 2 vs 5, 3 vs 4

1 is ag, 2 is xx, 3 is gq, 4 is eg, 5 is dg, 6 is st. So far the standings are:
