It aint over till the fat lady sings, or so they say. In smackdown it aint over until Fuman sings. Things seemed to looking good for GQ this week. It looked as if they had a spot in the finals wrapped up. I even wrote a column on challenge-us about what it would take for XX to make the finals and it didn't look good for XX. That is until DG showed up. DG has been playing sub par all season. I am not exactly sure why. They certainly are capable of beating any other clan out there and they have had some really close matches. Tonight "the warriors of late Sunday night" won 2 matches. First off they played GQ. If GQ could win, they could almost assure themselves a spot in the finals. GQ lost on some uncharacteristicly confused play. Anti wasn't there to control the MH's, but with the way DG played it might not have made a difference. DG wins 3-1, dm3 163-81, dm6 224-349, e3m7 167-112, dm2 146-126. EG then forfeit to ST and played DG. DG led by some excellent play by Rapture won 3-1. Scores were dm3 85-76, dm6 174-230, dm2 117-105, e3m7 141-79. The first three games were really close. The last game on e3m7 was confusing becuase not only had none of the EG's ever seen the map, they all had to download it from the server. Here are the standings:
