Reportandy: NS what's your map choice?
Noskill·member: dm3
After 10 minutes of waiting on the server, it was changed to dm6 because he said it "wrong" :p I didn't believe that "excuse" of course, but FS didn't mind to play dm6 instead and both teams agreed that dm3 would be the map that decided everything if needed. FS chose their usual e1m2, but NS' map choice was quite surprising. As far as i know it has been the first time in the current season of Smackdown that NS chooses dm6, maybe they were impressed by the good performances of FS during the season and rather had hoped to use their 3l33t duel and spam skillz. They probably didn't know that FS homecountry is a dm6 whore country, dm6 is a more common teamplay map than dm3 for many clans down there. So FS surely were no newbies to dm6.
The games were played on a Danish server, which gave very fair pings. Each clan pinged around 50-55 at average (of course they increased during spamming action of dm6), so the game could start. Well almost. Noskill's Milton timed out twice during the prewar and each time it took about 5 minutes until he came back. That didn't look really promising for the game. Anyway, the game kicked off and Noskill could get their players to RA and control it. NS could work out a lead of about 25 frags, until the worst possible thing happened: Miltion timed out. After just 4 minutes, NS lost one player. I have to add that i was seriously stunned when i checked demo for the time when he timed. The score was like 100-75 after not even 5 minutes. If the game proceeded like that, we might have seen a 400 score. NS had to fullfill a hard task now, not giving too much of their lead away, or not losing too badly. We already knew that chances are that Milton might not rejoin too soon as he needed several minutes during the prewar. Milton could rely on his clanmates very well, they played so damn well although they were on man down. FS did score more frags, but never went away. NS kept attacking RA and succeeded several times. When Milton _FINALLY_ after 11 minutes arrived (11 minutes in the game, 7 minutes after he had dropped) FS lead by about 25 frags. Having a strong team consisting of 4 players helped a lot getting control back and making the frag difference melt down. NS soon could draw and took the lead back. From then on, NS victory wasn't in great danger anymore. The finnish players without skill were the better team on that map, without any doubt. Even being one man down didn't stop them from attacking RA and keeping the frag difference small. The final score was 378 to 302 in NS' favour.

ReportFS had reached the 1/8 finals without losing this map once so it wasn't much of a surprise that this would be their choice again. FS got the rl spawn, NS grabbed the first quad. This quad was badly fighted for though, thus the quad man was injured and would die very soon. The 2nd rl was also taken by an FS player, good basis to get the 2nd quad and control over YA. So FS got the 2nd quad and would clean the important areas. After two minutes the Dutch kaesbauern lead by 23 frags, score being 27-4 and the map was all FS'. From then on, for about 10 minutes nothing interesting happened. FS run one quad after another and scored lots of frags. Their lead was over 100 already. But then NS finally found a way into this game and got some important positions which they could hold for a few minutes. For about 6 minutes the game had totally changed. NS took FS position, totally controlling the map and getting the frags. FS then managed to do the same that NS had done to do before, taking control back. Soon, the Dutch were running the quads and camping the YA and the game was totally decided. Although it seemed to be almost decided when NS got into this game, it could have become interesting because the fragrate was very high. NS' effort didn't change the outcome, just made the final result look a bit nicer. FS won e1m2 by 253 to 125 and could now concentrate on the last map.

ReportYou could say FS got the better start by getting away with Pent, Eyes and the first RL. NS got the 2nd rl although 2 FS players were waiting there, they simply didn't have the chance to get it, they were physically blocked from taking it :) NS also took the second quad, and more and more green guys ran around with Rocket Launchers. The score was close for the first two minutes but then NS pissed off (fragwise). YA was secured properly by NS players and RA was about to get locked too. NS had all possible control and that showed in the fragcounter. The first backdrop they suffered from was the 2nd pent at the 15 minutes remain mark. The fight at Pent (not only at pent area but really _AT_ pent) cost NS 2 rl guys, because Crit ran into Pent when it just spawned, both NS players died, FS' Crit survived with 5 health, no armor and an RL. Well, if that's not luck. FS then could manage to get a few frags but lost all locations quickly after Pent ran out so the game continued almost as it was before. After 11 minutes the sheer impossible happened. NS lost the whole map and FS gained full control. What followed was a very defensive play of NS, and hiding a bit later. That has to be seen on demo :) Well, it surely would have become close if NS didn't hide properly but played and failed (wow that rhimes), but this way NS could secure the victory by beating FS on dm3 by 135 to 110.
Good luck in the quarters Noskill and bye bye kaesbauern, may your cheese grow huge until next season :)
