Happy as I was to admin yet another fine game between two of Europes finest teams, I was of course looking forward to this match. Seeing how OC has risen to power once again, I could only anticipate a very exciting match between these two giants ... however I was told that White could not play for OC tonight. A major setback for OC and also sad since I was really interested in seeing that potentially lethal White/Brutal-combination. OC seemed to be in good spirits anyhow, and the formalities before the game went as smoothly as they possibly could (thank god for seasoned players).

Matchstart! At the outset it is obvious that FF has gotten a great start on OC, grabbing both the penta and the first RL and using them to their fullest. Quickly taking RA-control FF race to the lead, 16-3 by the first minute. The start and FF's flawless play makes it easy for them to take complete control, having Dag running the quad and keeping a tight grip at RA. Four minutes into the game FF were up by 47 frags and not looking back.
OC were mostly lurking in the water. At penta spawn, FF had no problems taking the 2nd pent and the rest of the powerups, +61 frags for FF.
Stepping up the pace, FF were raping quite mercilessly by now. Akke was stepping in and taking some quads as well. In the eight minute, FF had a lead of 130 frags, aiming for that elusive 300 total. OC had a brief period of control at RA, even killing FF's quad that tried to attack and clean it. It was however shortlived and Jerry soon took all three powerups and made a pass to make sure it was safe for FF.

With 7 minutes to go, the score was 207-15 and 2 minutes later FF were up by 217 and taking the final pent ... so much for the exciting game. FF take it 323-20 without loosing control a single time on the Abandoned Base.

Report
Matchstart sees Dag reaching the quad first and taking it, giving FF control over tele and water and OC having to settle for lower RA. FF also take the 2nd quad but it's killed by OC in bigroom. FF are definately winning all the fights and although OC mount an attack on third quad and Brutal manages to take it, he is quickly put down. With 4 minutes played, FF control the vitals and has 51 frags that separate them from OC. Two minutes later they have increased this lead to 98 frags and to 117 frags one minute later.

OC are not giving up though and fighting for the quad is becoming more fierce. Finally Brutal sneaks a quad at 10:th minute but is shot into the air and craters with it. He is percistent though and returns to take the next one which he uses to clear tele before he dies in bigroom. With eleven minutes played, FF are up by 143 frags. Brutal soon gets another shot and with the help of that blue, glowing aura of death he overtakes FF's positions and OC take control of the map with around 7.5 minutes remaining of the game.
They then make a major comeback, racking up frags at a very decent rate, narrowing the lead to just 80 frags around the 16:th minute before FF regain some control and once again increase their lead to around 120. Final score: 239-113 to FF.

Well played by both FF and OC. FF's start and their near perfect performance on DM3 made the DM2-match seem so much more interesting, we do miss White on OC's team though. However, FF have once again shown their strenght!
