This game started like most games these days: Someone gets into IRC asks for an admin, and since no one answers it's my turn again. It wasn't too easy to find a fair server for this game between the Swedish Orkney Clan and the German Icemarines. We tried a German server and a Danish one but on each server one clan would suffer too much of a ping disadvantage. We tried a Dutch one which seemed ok to all tdi's but only fine to a few Orkney players. Orkney's ISDN'ers seemed to lag too much so they "only" played with their adsl/cable/janet players. Pings were very fair, OC sometimes being in a small advantage. Dm2 was OC's choice, dm6 was tdi's. The third map would be dm3 if needed. After one hour, everything seemed to be done and working (connects, f_checks etc) so the game kicked off. Dm2 started very interesting, no team being able to gain more frags nor control than the other one. It was usually drawn (or only a few frags difference) for the first 5 minutes. But then TDI had an easier play since they controlled the Quad properly and could score more frags. They soon could even send someone to Low RL who would make the gap at scores even bigger. The map was never really locked but in the end it was hard enough to score frags for OC.

I don't like to spec dm6 games unless they're really really close, which wasn't the case in that game (shame on tdi/oc for not making it close :p). TDI took the control over the map (ra-gl) very early and were scoring more frags. The control over the important position(s) changed a few times but all in all, TDI had it secured more often. Oc didn't play badly, TDI just seemed to be more experienced on that rather unusual teamplay map for Scandinavian standards. Sorry, there's nothing more to write about this dm6 game, and i'm not really willing to do so since others didn't do their "job" either and sent me their demos (lo tdi players :p). That was definately a good game, especially by TDI and after a short "downtime" they seem to be back and ruling again
