There were a few problems prior to starting this game, since edome team servers were unusually lagged with up to 20pl. In the end we used a qwsm server which was better although not perfect. Pings were very even with SPAS having ~5ms advantage on average. On with the action: dm3 - Koff's choice Spas probably had the best spawns here, with sect taking pent and seeker the first rl. He makes good use of it, first picking up YA and then moving to RA which he secures. Koff try to send guys in to cess him but he is too strong and holds them off, allowing him to attack 2nd quad fully tooled. He finishs his quad run at YA, and by the time he comes to pick up 3rd quad SPAS has a 16 frag advantage. However, when he tries to retake RA from koff he his forced into spannering his quad rl and koff picks up the packs. RA is exchanged a few times over the next couple of minutes, with sect, roscoe and then plura winning it back for their team. Unfortunately i missed 2nd pent due to connection problems :( but roscoe gets the 3rd one, then rl+ya leaving him in a good position waiting for the quad on 9mins left. By now spas have fallen back to ra, but do a good job rushing roscoe with 3 guys thus denying him the quad. Koff now lead by 23 frags, and have fairly solid control over YA/bridge side of the map. Eventually Gamer is able to win back RA for Koff while Roscoe sets off on a quad run. With Koff camping both armours SPAS has little choice but to pin all their hopes on the last pent, and have 4 guys there. Only Plura seems to have a decent weapon tho (lg) so when roscoe comes jumping out the window with quad we have the usual death-from-above situation. He kills the entire SPAS team, but pent is still some seconds away and he is overrun by spas' continual rushing from window/water/lift. Last chance now for spas, but nicam is able to steal the pent as it spawns and its all over - he takes quad and with 4mins left koff are up by 73. The last few minutes are just a case of koff controlling the armours while spas tries to attack quad and pickup some weapons at water/rl. Seeker does manage to get a quad rl in the last minute or so but Nicam ambushes him at YA when he comes from bridge once quad runs out. Final score 157-87 to koff.

Koff winning dm3 was no great suprise to me, but I knew SPAS are strong on e1m2 so I expected this to be a close game. SPAS got a good start taking quad and the first rl, and pull away to a 7-0 lead by the 30sec mark. However, Scenic had the first YA and used to secure the 2nd rl which he was able to take. Meanwhile Gamer saved him the megahealth, so just prior to the 2nd quad he was able to attack with 38/195/rl or so. 3 of SPAS were at quad but he killed them all and took quad. Things were looking tough now for SPAS with YA under Koff control, until scenic shot the platform (twice!) while waiting for YA as he tried to kill a spas guy in the water. He ended up getting cessed and so spas was able to take the 3rd quad. The next few minutes koff continued to pull away in frags, taking a 49 point lead after 6mins. Sectoid tried to attack quad with ga/rl but to no avail. With YA locked down fairly well the lead had extended to 83 frags with 11 minutes left, quad wasnt being dominated totally, but spas quads were usually only shotgun and killed quickly. With half the time gone spas clearly saw they had to attack quad in numbers if they were to stand a chance, and with 3 guys there this proved quite successful. The game remained quite even until about 7.5mins left when gamer went on a quad boomstick rampage clearing out YA. Koff retained their ~75 frag advantage, and if SPAS were going to comeback now was the time. Ljung managed to get quad rl with about 6mins to go, but was snged by 2 koff players meaning quad was dead and also giving gamer an rl. Seeker was tooled at YA by now, SPAS' last hope. When he ventured round to gl however, he was first distracted by an sng dude and then had his guts smeared all over the park as Roscoe cruised round with the next quad+rl. Game over now for sure. The last 5 minutes was simply a case of koff increasing their lead, gamer doing a good job patrolling quad<->YA until zygot took over and he took up position at mega. With 3mins to go the score had extended to 179-96 to koff, and the game ended 249-106 in their favour. In fairness to SPAS the game was actually a lot closer than this score suggests, in the end I think koff was just able to make better use of their quads and held YA for longer periods. They never had total lockdown though since a spas rl often popped up at mega and sometimes YA, but never for more than a minute or so. GG to both teams.
