Despite the fact that QW is at the moment practically dead in germany, the german clan league, one of the oldest in europe is looking forward to decide the winners of the 7th season. The history of the preseason is a history of the demise of the game in a country that used to have one of the largest scenes and some of the best clans of the continent but that story is to be told elsewhere.
In the end 4 clans made it into the playoffs, three of which are competing in Challenge-Smackdown as well. In the semi finals The Fragging Pumpkins lost to the Dark Icemarines whom they will soon meet again in their SD2 group game. The other semi final was won by clan Denial from the UK over Quadaver making them the first foreign clan to reach finals in the history of the league.
It is not yet known when the final game is going to take place but it will be very interesting. A few months ago TDI took the UCKL title from Denial causing some "irritation" among the Uk'ers who did not like a german clan winning their national league at all. Nowadays DN look stronger than TDI and are eager to take revenge on the "huns".
