ReportI imagine it's something of a tradition for there to some problem with qizmo or f_modified checks in the first game of the season and this was no exception. After having experience with the rules last season List were ready to go from the start, and most of PoC were as well but they were let down by Scythe who took a little while to locate the offending files. Compared to numerous other matches, this one required less waiting around due to both teams having 4 players when they jumped onto the server. List selected dm3 and Smackdown 2 was underway. Right from the start the difference in pings made life difficult for PoC as List were able to gain the upper hand. PoC attempted to hold onto RA but whenever they managed to sneak an RL there it was just a matter of time before List cleaned it out again. By the time the 15 minute pent was taken the scores were about 50 - 10 List's way and they looked to be in control. Noc did a good job of letting his teammates know where the danger areas were (mainly at RA) which enabled them to stamp out any dangerous PoC players before they got tanked. It seemed that List was keeping the same pace for a while as the scores were around 100 - 20 at the 10 minute mark. They never really lost a position for an extended amount of time as they ran out with a solid victory.

ReportAnother good start for List allowed them to get RLs for their players and pick up where they left off on dm3. Though PoC grabbed the first quad with the 'jump on a teammate and then up to quad' move that most other teams rarely use. Unfortunately Havoc, who grabbed the quad, fell victim to someone opening the lava floor up in the big room and PoC were back where they started. Teams can build up a handy lead and keep it on DM2 thanks to the size and the placement of the spawn points...just have a guy at YA, a guy at lower RL and two others running quad/raping spawns and you're on your way. List had this going for most of the map and reaped the benefits, though PoC were able to get the odd RL out and put pressure on quad. They were denied most times due to List having more players with RLs and armour and could just send in extra numbers when quad was available. Near the end PoC managed to kill most (if not all) of the List players and had a chance to repay the favour...but List just used it's ping advantage and kept rushing into lower RL to kill off the attempted comeback. Well done to List on a solid win, though PoC were on the back foot right from the start with their dial-up connections (especially with them being a lan clan).
