Report
About 30 minutes before the match was scheduled to begin Dx and THDM players checked their pings at both IPGN and Optus team servers in an attempt to find the fairest server. To keep this part of the report short (the focus should be on the playing) THDM agreed to play on Optus where they still had a ping advantage over Dx. DM6 was chosen first by THDM and it appeared that the abundance of spam was giving the dial-up players in Dx some extra lag to worry about. After one minute the THDM guys occupied the top four places on the scoreboard and they were able to maintain this throughout the map. Melt was doing well by guarding GA early on which prevented Dx from attacking RA with RL's from GL (if that makes sense). Control of RA switched between each team regularly though THDM were able to get more frags when they had their shot at it which made the difference. At the 10 minute mark the THDM players still had reasonably close scores though Drizzy was threatening to pull away from the pack as he cleaned up the spawns at GL. Dx were unable to stop the flow of frags for THDM though they fought for control of the RA area right to the end. Tones timed out in the last minute with 86 frags but thankfully returned when the map was changed to Dx's choice.

Report
I was interested to see if the change from dmm3 to dmm1 settings would have an effect on THDM's performance and it seemed to be the case for the first five or so minutes of this map. Consume grabbed the first quad for Dx and headed for lower RL to give his team an early lead, but there were a few too many opponents there and he was soon overwhelmed. Dx also got the second quad through Heat but that was short lived as well. During this time THDM were tanking up at lower RL and managed to take the lead without any powerups. The game went back in Dx's favour when Heat put the third quad to much better use...this style of play continued and with 14 minutes remaining there were only 3 frags in it (THDM up 41 to 38). At this point THDM clicked and they grabbed the next few quads, at the 10 minute mark they had outscored Dx by 60 frags to 18 to be ahead 101 - 56. My BPA connection died with under five minutes left but going by the demos I've received it seems that THDM were able to keep the trend going and didn't allow Dx to get a look in. This was a solid victory for THDM against a Dx team with a few new faces.
