ReportThese teams had attempted to play their match earlier in the week but obviously it didn't go ahead. What we did have was the discussion about which server to use with AoK wanting Optus and MU preferring IPGN. It was a pleasant surprise last night when the teams were getting ready on IPGN as AoK were more than happy to play there...though it was giving good/decent pings to most people so that would have made the decision easier. The custom of at least one player not having Qizmo set up for their first game was observed, but both teams were determined to have a result at the end of the night which helped a lot. MU only had three players available but AoK were good sports and went with three themselves despite being able to field four. The game got underway with AoK getting RL and quad which helped them get hold of RA early as well as the water area. Being able to tank up at will made killing the AoK guys an even harder task for MU, who had two players on dial-up. Skitz and Sinthreck ran the quad and picked up the frags while Povo-Hat made sure that MU didn't sneak any RLs out as he controlled YA and the water area. Denied armour and RLs, this didn't leave many options for MU as they were hunted down by their opponents. I experienced a flashback to last season after one of the MU guys (Hamhock) was kicked by the server...the same thing happened to Sycochild of List when they played D2D. I was informed that Shad would be going back to the normal qwsv so this shouldn't be a problem in future matches. Another of the MU guys was kicked for changing team (no idea why that happened)...but AoK kept going about their business and in the end they all achieved 100% efficiency.

ReportThanks to my BPA connection going down I missed the end of the dm3 game and only got back to catch the last minute of dm6. After checking out the demos it appeared that AoK put in another solid performance with Dirty Dan coming in to replace Sinthreck while Akura jumped in for MU. The AoK players covered the map well...Povo watched GA for periods of time, Skitz helped out at RA as well as other areas and Dan did a similar job. MU weren't able to get comfortable in an area for any length of time before someone from AoK came rushing in to set things right. Overall, AoK's experience as a team was too much for MU. Thanks to both teams for sticking with the match even though it took a fair while to begin.
