ReportA warm-up game before the match itself ensured that most of the people participating were present before the given starting time which was a nice change. The only delay seemed to be when the teams couldn't decide who would choose the first map...eventually AoK selected dm2...and then changed their minds and went with e1m2. The start was very close for the first few minutes as players on either team couldn't really get tanked, but soon Rb managed to get more players with RLs than AoK and the score difference started to widen. After 5 minutes Rb were up 37 - 21 and looked like they were ready to administer a lockdown on the defiant AoK. The next 10 minutes saw Rb establish control despite AoK mounting the odd individual attack when they were able to get an RL out to mega or YA. Unfortunately for AoK, Rb kept a close watch on quad and made sure that only one of their guys was able to make use of it. Rb had total control in the last 5 minutes as they advanced the score from 129 - 54 to 198 - 67.

ReportGrabbing the first quad allowed AoK to get hold of RA early and by having three or so players there they were able to get some handy frags by overwhelming any Rb that entered. This had the side effect of leaving the water area wide open for Rb, and with Tim and Jac getting the first two RLs it looked as if AoK's early gain might end up costing them dearly. It wasn't long before this became evident...when the "18 minutes remaining" message was displayed a few AoK guys met up at quad and were just waiting around when Jac came out of nowhere, removed them and took the quad to carry on with business. From then on AoK hardly got a look at another RL while Rb found a nice rhythm as they lead 104 - 11 at the 10 minute mark and continued at the same rate to finish at 210 - 28. After AoK's big win over MU it looks like their percentage will go down to a more reasonable level...but their effort on e1m2 as well as their form in recent pickup games indicates that they're not out of finals contention just yet. Rb start their season off with a solid win and look good to continue in that fashion.
