POV: reign

Report
foad started us off with dm3 and from the outset set the tone for the match. missing the first quad they swarmed over ra and managed to make sure the enemy quad couldnt secure the area, quickly getting sng and ra's they were able to make their way into ya and take rls from the enemy. having armor going into the rl box allowed other foad members to get away with rls and hashie soon had control of ya with reign running quads. this was the way the game ran for the next few minutes with sim battling hard for rb. further into the match rb were able to mount a comeback, heading into the second half they had control of armors after the 10 minute pent and closed the lead down to within 20. reign was instrumental in stopping the run, earning rl packs for his teammates with good use of quad, which also allowed the team to take back red armor and close out the match.

Round 2 -

Reborn 201
Fuck off and Die 129
E1M2 - Castle of the Damned (Reborn's choice)

Report
after somewhat of a delay, and necro taking sim's spot on the rb side, we began e1m2. the game started out quite evenly with neither team dominating areas, but rb looked to have the slight upper hand with jac starting out well. for the first ten minutes or so rb looked to be taking more control of the map, the ya in particular, but the scoreboard wasnt suggesting this as foad were still hanging on. tim got himself moving in the second half, gaining quads and managing to mow through a few enemies and survive, sometimes just, to tank up for the next quad run. charlie tried to go with him at the top, but with fuzz also getting a run of frags as rb secured the map, the lead kept growing into a comfortable margin.

Round 3 -

Fuck off and Die 134
Reborn 126
DM2 - Claustrophobolis (random map)

Report
after being notified the random map was to be dm6, both teams decided theyd prefer to play on dm2, and with no similar delays this time, we managed to start pretty quickly. as with dm3, foad again got a good start and got some important early frags on the board, hashie assumed the role of camping the main rl and this helped the team a lot, with one less thing to worry about when trying to obtain quads. rb still had the opportunity to get some weapons but without a heavily armoured team consistently supplying pressure on one area they didnt manage to overturn the flow of the match. moving into the last seven minutes foad had a comfortable lead of 70 frags but all seemed to be concentrated at the main rl side of the map. tim was seen lurking at the lifts entrance to main rl and after waiting for backup to arrive managed to come in and remove three enemys with quad. this helped to turn the match as rb made large dents in the foad lead, first down to 60 frags, then 45 and then even less. rb were on a run with both tim and jac doing there best to respawn kill while they had the momentum and the run of quad. heading down to the three minute mark rb had brought the game back to almost a single figure margin but they were beginning to slow. charlie managed to get an rl and stake out a position at the ra/mega, and soon after caused the crucial death of jac. rb were still pushing but it was pretty much frag for frag towards the end. tim was still getting quads in the final minutes but without support, and with foad playing calmly, foad managed to run out the clock to an 8 frag victory.

wd to both teams on a very competitive and close-fought match which we hopefully see a repeat of in the latter stages of smackdown.
