This match almost didn't go ahead. The players and spectators waited for an hour or so for iC to have a team of 4 that they were happy with, as Dude's connection had taken a turn for the worst. When it looked like nothing was going to happen Teflon suggested that iC forfeit as they had already qualified for the finals and would meet FA there later on. Thankfully he decided to play instead and the match began on dm6 with Dude having to put up with 150 ping. The first two minutes were almost frag for frag as the scores stayed close, but the next minute was practically all FA as they moved to 48-22 with 17 minutes remaining. This lead continued to grow for the rest of the map as iC seemed to only have three guys playing for them...Dude wasn't moving for a fair while but came alive right at the end. By that point FA were a few hundred frags in front and were looking towards the dm3 game. Another point of interest was that after the delay in waiting for a 4th iC player who didn't have connection problems, Shad appeared on the ipgn qizmo about 4 minutes into the dm6 game.

Round 2 -

iC made the swap with Shad coming in for Dude and the dm3 got going ahead nice and quickly. In the first 6 minutes FA grabbed most (if not all) of the powerups to establish a handy lead of about 30 frags with Harlsom and Spice doing most of the damage. iC managed to gain control of RA and got the next few quads which slowed FA down a bit. They weren't able to close the gap by much though as the difference stayed between 20 and 40 frags for the rest of the map. iC did well to only let FA get in front by 30 frags at the start as just about every other team FA have played this season have been put in their place once the quad running begins...plus they showed that they can keep up with their opponents as the map was evenly balanced for most of the time. We should be in for a treat when these teams face each other again in the finals.
