DM2 - Claustrophobolis (Fallen Angels's choice)

Report
This match was important for a few reasons...not just because FA and Rb are two of the best teams in Australia, but if Rb beat FA then it would make it hard for Foad (and possibly iC) to make it to the Grand Final. The first 4 minutes on dm2 were as close as you could get, neither team was able to get more than a few frags ahead before the scores were evened up again. At this stage FA were 1 frag ahead but then they suddenly kicked away from Rb to lead by around 40 frags two minutes later. The damage was done as FA extended the lead to a comfortable margin, but even though Rb were able to get a short run of frags every so often it was just a matter of time before FA would put an end to each of those. It was a good effort by FA to win in this fashion as the start of the map showed how close the game could have been.

Round 2 -

Reborn 113
Fallen Angels 229
E1M2 - Castle of the Damned (Reborn's choice)

Report
Many spectators were hoping that Rb would take out e1m2 to force a third map, and despite a close start they managed a 10-15 frag lead after 5 minutes. Soon after this Harlsom picked up an RL pack at YA and used it to make that area a safer place for FA. Soon enough it was FA who were ahead by 10 or so frags and we were starting to see a repeat of dm2 where FA took full advantage once they got the upper hand. That's exactly what happened as FA put on another solid display to kill off any hopes of a 3 map series. It's safe to say that FA would be the favourites to take out Smackdown.AU again...especially after a performance like that.
