There was a bit of drama before this match 'officially' got underway as dm6 was played twice due to iC's generosity. When they played the first time THDM were doing well with Juz/Melt leading the way...but after a few minutes Juz experienced major lag as his ping went up to 900 at times which went well with the handy dose of PL he was receiving. He dropped and returned later with things sorted out but iC were out in front and eventually won. iC then typed 'ready' again which was a good show of sportsmanship. THDM again looked to have the better start but iC soon took over and for most of the first 10 minutes they enjoyed a 20-30 frag lead. Both teams kept scoring at similar rates for a while as they each took turns at RA and things didn't seem likely to change with 4 minutes remaining with iC still up by around 20 frags. But at this point THDM slowly closed the gap to be down by 10 with 1 minute left...on a map like dm6 this task was certainly achievable. They were in the same situation with 30 seconds to go when a few spawns went their way and they looked like they might steal the win...but iC played it safe to win by 4.

Report
In their group game earlier this year THDM gave iC a hard time on e1m2, so after the close game on dm6 there was a good chance we would be going to a tiebreaker map afterwards. This time the good start was made by iC as they grabbed early RLs and quads. They continued to stay ahead by a comfortable margin and even though they were only ahead by 30 frags after the first 10 minutes the game was very low scoring. There wasn't much of a change during the second half of the game as iC got most of the quads to keep THDM in check...though THDM didn't let them have full control of the map. Being able to grab RLs fairly easily allowed THDM to keep iC's lead from growing too much. In the last 10 minutes iC were only able to extend their advantage by about 10 frags which gives an indication of how even it was.
